Samantha Jones

Samantha Jones believes that every person is made in the image of God, valuable, and necessary. Passionate about connecting others into relationship with Christ and discipleship, she is the founder and CEO of Benevolence United.

At 7 years old, Samantha started helping her dad in the bus ministry at their church in Woodbridge, VA, and has not stopped working in church ministry since. She has had various ministry leadership roles inside churches for over 2 decades now. These roles include Youth Leader, Children’s Ministry Director, Early Childhood Director, and Special Needs Ministry Coordinator.

Currently, Samantha is pursuing her BS in Christian Leadership and Management from Liberty University, to attain an MA in Christian Leadership from Dallas Theological Seminary.  She holds certifications in Christian Counseling from Light University and Temperament Coaching from Cornerstone Ministries.

Samantha and her husband David have been madly in love since 2005 and have a blended family with three children Courtney, Vanessa, and Drake and two grandchildren Carson and Oliver.  In her spare time, she enjoys home improvement projects and exploring the world with her husband David.

Grateful for every experience in her life, Samantha is excited to do good in every opportunity God brings her way and to see His handiwork in every situation.

Angela Cushing

Angela Cushing is a board member of Benevolence United. She believes that all children have been given a gift from God and it is her mission to help every child discover that gift, as well as make sure they know that they are loved.

Angela holds an M.Ed. in Special Education and an MA in Theatre Arts. Angela is also certified to teach Special Education and Theatre in the state of Virginia. She is also trained in Applied Behavior Analysis therapy as well as other behavior management systems.

Angela has worked in the education field for the past 16 years. Her experience includes 7+ years as a Special Education teacher, 3 years as a Theatre Arts Teacher and 2 years as a Speech Instructor at the college level. She currently teaches students with Autism in Loudon County Schools.

Angela grew up in Manassas Park. Her loving family includes her mother, Patricia, and younger sister, Sabrina. She is very close to them and has helped to raise her talented nephew, Ethan, and her amazing niece, Caydence. Angela’s family is very important to her and she enjoys their family outings.

In her spare time, Angela enjoys taking her family to see theatrical shows in the area and traveling the world.

Toni Deluca Evans

Toni DeLuca Evans believes that everyone has gifts and talents and not one of those gifts should go untapped for any individual. She believes that for every person to be able to use their God given gifts and to be fruitful, we must create an inclusive and collaborative community in our churches. No disability should stand in the way of a person living up to their fullest God given potential.

Toni is a board member and Director of Training at Benevolence United. Currently, Toni is in her 28th year of her career in special education. She holds a B.S. in Special Education from Slippery Rock University and an M.Ed. in Resource and Collaborative Teaching from the College of William and Mary, as well as an endorsement in administration from Virginia Tech. She was a teacher for 6 years and has been a special education supervisor for 22 years. She has supervised programs for students with emotional disabilities, educational programs in juvenile detention centers and adult detention centers, and currently supervises transition services. Toni is also a trained Restorative Justice Facilitator. Toni is the current chairperson of the Culpeper County Special Education Advisory Committee.

As an active member of her church, Toni believes that it’s not what we say that defines us, but instead it’s how we live our lives. She was a Celebrate Recovery Co-Leader for three years, a Co-Leader of Celebrate Recovery in the Fauquier County Jail for two years, and is trained in level one faith based critical incident stress management.

Toni is married to Tim Evans who is a constant source of strength for her. They enjoy traveling and a variety of sports. Toni is also mother to a son, Anthony. Anthony has autism and is her hero. He is an over comer and inspires her daily. He pushes her to be her best.

 
 
 
 

David Jones

David is a board member at Benevolence United. He loves God and has a passion for serving his community. David has worked as a Firefighter and EMT for over 15 years. David has achieved a Business Degree from NOVA, an AS in Fire Science and BS in Fire Administration from Columbia Southern University. David is a certified trainer in Risk Management and Therapeutic Options.

David has worked inside of churches as a youth leader for over 5 years and children’s ministry leader for over 10 years. David has personal experience with the hard work and great rewards of families with disabilities.
